Grimm?s Debut Last Night: What Did You Think?
Did you catch Grimm’s debut last night? DVR’d it because of the World Series (congrats to the Cards, btw) and even though I’m not one for any bit of gruesomeness, I found myself hooked from the get go. Again, I can’t stress enough how much I really don’t watch or read anything horror related, so for me to even sit through a show like this for more than two minutes speaks volumes. Heh. It certainly held my interest. If you missed it, no worries, NBC will re-air Grimm tonight at 9:00 PM EST! Check out some video highlights from the show below. How did Grimm’s debut fare in the ratings? Yes, it did go up against Game 7 of the World Series, but it did pretty well, considering, garnering 6.49 million viewers. The show did a good job of introducing us to the characters and was easy to follow. Nick (played by David Giuntoli) is a homicide detective who finds out from his sick aunt (played by the amazing Kate Burton) that he is in fact the last of the Grimms, which explains why he can see the crazy zombies and we can’t. Lady Gaga To Headline Z100 Jingle Ball Concert
Demi Lovato, Kelly Clarkson, Pitbull and others will also hit the stage for the annual holiday concert at Madison Square Garden.

It's time to get in the holiday spirit! On Friday (October 21), radio station Z100, with the help of pop star Demi Lovato, announced the lineup for their 2011 Jingle Ball concert.
All you Little Monsters better mark your calendars, because Mother Monster herself, Lady Gaga, will be headlining the big event. The holiday concert will take place on Friday, December 9, at New York City's Madison Square Garden.
Lovato, who is also hitting the stage at Jingle Ball, helped announce the lineup at the official kickoff party at the Aéropostale store in Times Square, where she also performed. The singer took the stage in front of a crowd filled with her fans (a.k.a. Lovatics) and sang four songs, including her cover of Lil Wayne's "How to Love" and her hit single off her Unbroken album, "Skyscraper." Lovato sat down with MTV News before the big event and told us just how thrilled she is to be a part of the big show.
"I just know I'm performing at Jingle Ball and that I'm really excited," Lovato said. "I'm going to the Aéropostale store and I'm announcing the Jingle Ball lineup."
Of course, Gaga and Lovato aren't the only acts hitting the stage. Pitbull, LMFAO, super-producer David Guetta, and Lovato's personal favorite, Kelly Clarkson, will also be in attendance.
"I used to go to her concerts and now I'm performing with her," Lovato said of sharing the stage with Clarkson.
But wait, there's more! Gym Class Heroes, rockers Foster the People and pop newbies Hot Chelle Rae will also perform before the New York crowd.
Tickets for Z100's Jingle Ball go on sale November 1.

Hollywood Stars Costume Up for Halloween: A Complete Look!
With a full slate of parties taking place across the States, the stars of Hollywood got all dressed up while joining in on the annual Halloween holiday celebrations this weekend.
Among the Tinseltown couples pairing up this year were a Hermione Granger clad Nina Dobrev and her superhero beau Ian Somerhalder, as well as Odette and Dave Annable doing their best impersonations of Bonnie and Clyde.
Making for one of the more well-attended fetes of the weekend, Kate Hudson's annual bash drew out JLo & Hunter S. Thomson duo Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, a witchy Jessica Alba, David Arquette as Elvis, Gwen Stefani as Cinderella and Jennifer Love Hewitt and her new beau Jarod Einsohn as Brangelina, among many other fellow costume-clad celebs.
The "Glee" gang was out in full force this year, with Lea Michele channeling Natalie Portman's Oscar-winning "Black Swan" character with other castmates spotted on the holiday weekend including Chris Colfer as a Sea-Monkey, Amber Riley as Nicki Minaj and Jenna Ushkowitz teamed up with boyfriend Michael Trevino as Green Monkeys.
As for the Sin City crowd, Heidi Klum hosted a party at Tao dressed as a dead body with Bethenny Frankel opting to go as Hello Kitty. Meanwhile, Nicole ?Snooki? Polizzi got catty at PURE while Holly Madison, Scott Disick, Bridget Marquardt, Sam Trammel, and Ice T and Coco were among the other stars working their costumes in Las Vegas.
With Alessandra Ambrosio and Jayde Nicole prettying up the Roosevelt Hotel Halloween Party in Los Angeles, Lindsay Lohan opted to celebrate with friends at the Playboy mansion.
Other highlights over the past few days included Kim Kardashian as poison ivy while hosting a Midori party in NYC, Sofia Vergara dressed as an Angry Bird, Cameron Diaz as a stripper and Adam Lambert portraying a Heavy Metal Lover with boyfriend Sauli Koskinen.

Justin Bieber's Mariah Carey, Busta Rhymes Collabos Hit The Net
Teen star's Under the Mistletoe tracks 'All I Want for Christmas' and 'Little Drummer Boy' drop in advance of album's release.

Hey Beliebers, you can celebrate the holidays early this year! Just days before he officially releases Under the Mistletoe, Justin Bieber is gifting fans with the early release of two high-profile duets off the November 1 album.
First off, his highly anticipated Mariah Carey collabo, an updated mix of her Christmas classic "All I Want for Christmas," made its way online. The song, posted on Rap-Up.com, opens with Bieber and Carey exchanging vocal runs. Mariah's verse, which sounds very much like the original, goes first. Then Bieber, singing in a deeper register than usual, joins in for the second verse.
The sound of Carey's original track is pretty much all there, with Bieber adding some new shine on the always-glittering holiday standard. "Mariah Carey is doing it with me! It's incredible. So excited," he told MTV News recently. "We wanted Mariah from the beginning, but we kind of thought it was really hard, so we didn't really push the idea. But she's on my label, so we reached out to some people, she got in contact with us, and Randy Jackson was actually at the studio with us, and I was like, 'Yo, you think you can help get Mariah on the Christmas album?' And he was like, 'I'm actually going to see her in New York on Monday,' and I was like 'Yo, go do that!' "
On Bieber's collaboration with Busta Rhymes on the classic "Little Drummer Boy," which was posted on Hitfix.com, the boys threw some club beats and synths over the old-school Christmas track. The song gets a bit of an edge when Bieber, a skilled drummer himself, appears as his rapper alter ego Shawty Mane.
He raps lines like "Yeah, I'm on the drum/ I'm on the snare drum/ Yeah, I'm on the beat/ 'Cause the beat goes dum/ I only spare heat 'cause I'm playing for the son/ Playing for king/ Playing for the title/ I'm surprised you didn't hear it in the Bible," while also singing the traditional lyrics from the song in between verses.
Busta comes in halfway through the song, spitting family-friendly lines in his signature rapid-fire style. "Bieber hit me back and said let's make it hot up in the winter," he raps. "I said, cool/ You know I'm gonna deliver/ Let's collaborate and make the holiday a little bigger."
"If you really think about it, it's genius, because it's rapping on a Christmas album ... and, like, I'm rapping on it. And then it's singing," he explained. "It's cool. [Busta's] got, like, a percussive voice to him [and] the beat was so crazy. I'm actually playing drums on that song, playing the snare."
The album will also include appearances by Usher, Boyz II Men and the Band Perry, as well as a number of songs featuring Bieber all on his own, including the album's lead single, "Mistletoe."

I went to the premiere on Tuesday and it was the coolest thing ever. First, the movie is AMAZING and Chris Evans is a superstar. Second, there were so many damn people there it was insane. I have been to movie premieres in New York before and they were nothing like this. I mean, they closed down Hollywood Boulevard. I would've taken photos to show you, but the invite said to leave phones in the car. But here's a photo of me in my cool Captain America 3D glasses:

Deciding to dress up as two of the most beloved characters in the movie world, Kelly Brook and her boyfriend Thom Evans put forth their best Bella Swan and Edward Cullen over the Halloween weekend.
The British beauty and her beau got into "Twilight" mode as they headed to a Halloween party at the Guy Ritchie owned Punch Bowl Pub in London, England on Saturday night (October 29).
Tweeting about the costume decision-making prior to the night out, Kelly wrote, "My boyfriend is going as Ed Cullen his mate is Jacob! I'm too old to be Bella lol :( what to do???"
Coming to the decision that she could pull off Bella, Miss Brook tossed on her ensemble complete with fake blood while messaging, "Love being Bella."

All dressed up for another evening on the red carpet, Nikki Reed and Jackson Rathbone took over the spotlight at the 6th International Rome Film Festival in Rome, Italy on Sunday (October 30).
The ?Twilight" costars were certainly a hit as fans packed along the cinema entrance prior to the premiere screening of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1".

On November 1, Justin Bieber will take his fans Under the Mistletoe on his holiday album. But he's giving them an early treat by releasing his Usher duet, "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)," on Monday (October 24).
The song dropped on Ryan Seacrest's radio show. Its vibe is reminiscent of '90s R&B tracks, and it sounds a lot like it could have been recorded by Boyz II Men, who also appear on the album.
The Christmas classic is all about the little joys of the holiday season, including the family get-togethers, the food and Santa bringing presents to children. The song, one of the classics that appears on the album, hits iTunes on Monday. Bieber and Usher previously appeared together on "Somebody to Love" off My World 2.0.
"Justin and I did the classic record 'Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire.' This record is going to be remembered for years to come," Usher told Seacrest on Monday morning. "It's a record that has always been one of my favorites, and I'm happy that I was able to share it with Justin, and for us to put it out. The album is full of surprises. Justin's Under the Mistletoe is going to be incredible!"
In the lead-up to the release, Bieber released some behind-the-scenes footage of his mentor and him in the studio working on the song. He also shared that he had another surprise in store for his fans. Just one week after dropping the video for "Mistletoe," he tweeted, "Up early to shoot another video for #UNDERTHEMISTLETOE #Nov1st but something else is out this morning...."
In addition to Usher, Under the Mistletoe will also feature appearances from the Band Perry, Busta Rhymes, Boyz II Men and Mariah Carey, who re-recorded her classic "All I Want for Christmas" for the album.

With collabos between Lil Wayne and Joe Jonas, Taylor Swift and T.I., the lines separating music genres are increasingly becoming blurred.

In a modern music landscape where genre is pretty much nonexistent, the lines are becoming even further blurred. That's why music lovers barely flinched when news broke that Justin Bieber will work with Kanye West and his "homey" Drake on his next album.
However, more than a decade ago, major mainstream artists like Britney Spears or even *NSYNC (whose very own Justin Timberlake later went on to work with hip-hoppers) would never have thought about hooking up with rappers like Eminem, for instance. In fact, they were the punch line to many of Em's finest rhymes during the "TRL" era.
Today, pop stars and rap stars are unapologetically sharing their love for one another. Lil Wayne, who recently worked with artists including Joe Jonas and Jennifer Lopez, seems to be one of the guys leading the charge. In addition to appearing on tracks with pop stars, Demi Lovato's and Bieber's covers of his track "How to Love" have made headlines. So, what is it about Weezy?
"I just loved the way that Lil Wayne took a risk doing the song 'How to Love,' " Lovato explained. "And when I really listened to it, it's such a great song."
That enthusiasm for his work, according to Vibe Music Editor John Kennedy, has a lot to do with Weezy "the man" as well as Weezy "the artist." "Wayne appeals to the pop world because he's obviously got a tremendous following and is a talented artist, but he's a character outside of the music. His image off-wax is just as prominent as his rhymes on record," he explained. "So when you get Wayne on a record, it's more than just a hot 16, you're getting a rebel to society: the sagging denims, tats all over, diamond grills. It just adds rock star flavor with hip-hop appeal."
"On an artistic level, he just seems like an exciting guy to be around who is also willing to try just about everything, so I imagine pop stars can basically say, 'Hey, can you do this weird thing?' and he'd say yes," Entertainment Weekly staff writer Kyle Anderson added about Wayne's appeal. "From a more business standpoint, working with Wayne not only means chart and radio recognition but also instant cool. He has a cachet that hasn't faded yet."
But Wayne is hardly the only guy in the game defying the laws of hip-hop and pop. Country superstar Taylor Swift has certainly done her part, appearing in concert with guys like T.I. and B.o.B. "I'm a huge hip-hop fan, and it's been so amazing to have so many incredible artists come out and to get to sing the hooks on their songs that I've been blasting in my car for the last couple years," she explained. "It's been awesome. I couldn't have asked for more amazing special guests on this tour, and we're not finished yet."
But it's not just the pop stars singing the praises of rappers and hoping to get some street cred. Rappers are clamoring to hook up with their pop counterparts too, picking up where artists like Mariah Carey/O.D.B. and Christina Aguilera/Redman left off. And recently, Aguilera's former pop rival, Spears, jumped on the trend when she toured with Nicki Minaj.
When MTV News caught up with Minaj backstage on the Femme Fatale Tour, she said that the crossover success has been intriguing and surprising. "I'm always surprised," she said. "I don't really expect them to know all the records, but I guess it just kind of transcends all genres of music at this point."
As the genre-bending continues, it seems that the pairings are likely to get more and more unexpected. "I met Justin [Bieber] back in February. He's a cool kid and sh--," Tyler, the Creator said of his desire to work with the teen star. "When I got in there, he was talkin' about the 'Yonkers' video and sh--. It was weird, because I was sitting here starstruck, like, 'Oh, f---, it's Bieber. He's asking me questions.' I'm like, 'Shut the f--- up so I can talk to you.' "

In a new web series that coincides with his debut book, Steve Stoute and HuffPost Black Voices presented the first episode in of "The Tanning Effect" featuring an exclusive interview with Jay-Z. Mr. Carter reveals the meaning of his joint album with Kanye West, his epiphany that his music has a substantial impact on mainstream America, and being an unpaid spokesman for Cristal champagne.
During the interview the two discussed the success of Watch the Throne debuting at number one in 23 countries and when he first realized that his music had a substantial impact on mainstream America.
While discussing hip hop's impact, Jay-Z said,
"Hip Hop is a global thing almost the way jazz was." While he compares the freedom of hip hop to how jazz music had limitless boundaries, he continued,
"Hip hop has a voice and spoke directly to people and to their heart and how they were feeling."
Jay said he first knew the impact of hip-hop on mainstream America when he did "The Hard Knock Life Tour" with DMX, Method Man and Red Man. And once he got to the concert, he saw that the audience was 80% white, and then he realized that the "hip-hop" audience was bigger than just "THE BLOCK."

Adele Set to Undergo Surgery
After having to cancel the remaining of her shows this year, it was just announced that Adele is set to have surgery to fix her vocal chord problems.
According to a statement released on Friday (October 28), the ?Rolling in the Deep? songstress will have an operation ?to alleviate the current issues with her throat? and must ?completely recuperate before looking to schedule any more work commitments.?
Earlier this month after announcing her canceled show, Adele said, ?I have absolutely no choice but to recuperate properly and fully, or I risk damaging my voice forever.?
Doctors anticipate a full recovery out of the chart-topping singer.
